Aquopolis is the main water park in the south of the Costa Blanca. It opens for the summer only — roughly June to the first days of September — and it is the plan that works when the family has had enough of beaches and salt lakes.

The standard ticket is tied to a date and is the cheapest. The open-date one costs about six euros more and is used any day of the season, which is worth it if your plans depend on the weather. The park also runs promotions through the summer that can drop the adult price below 15 €.
The rides
The ones people queue for are the Kamikaze, the Hydro Racer, the Black Hole and the Boomerang. For younger children there is the Enchanted Lake and the shallow pool area. There are restaurants inside and paid extras like the Speedy Pass for skipping queues, which does make a difference in August.
Season
Summer only, closing in early September. Outside those dates it is shut, so if you are here in spring or autumn look at other things — boat trips, the Tabarca crossing or the salt lakes all run year round.
Getting there
It is on the edge of Torrevieja beside the main road, with its own car park. Without a car we can arrange the transfer both ways from your accommodation in Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa or Guardamar, with the pick-up time agreed for when the park closes.
Practical advice
Get there for opening — the first hour is the only one with short queues. Wear a rash vest or T-shirt in the water, because you spend a lot of the day out of it. Lockers are worth the money for phone and wallet. And you cannot bring your own food in, so budget for eating there.
