The rocky coast south of Torrevieja gives clear water and shallow reefs, which is why the try dives here work for people who have never used a regulator. Qualified divers get guided dives on the same sites.

What you need
For a try dive, nothing but the ability to swim — kit, instructor and briefing are included. For guided dives, bring your certification card and logbook. Certified divers should also carry proof of insurance if their agency requires it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a licence for a try dive?
No. A try dive is designed for complete beginners and runs with an instructor alongside you the whole time.
What is the water temperature?
Comfortable in a wetsuit from May to November, warmest in August and September. Wetsuits are included.
Is snorkelling worth it if I do not dive?
Yes. The guided snorkelling trip covers the same rocky coves in shallow water and works for families.
