South of Torrevieja marina the coast turns rocky and breaks up into a string of small coves — Piteras, Ferris and the ones running down towards Cabo Roig. Several are awkward to reach on foot and half empty from the water even in August. That stretch is what the boat trips cover.

Shared trips go in small groups and include a stop to swim when the sea allows. On fishing trips the tackle is provided and no experience is needed — the skipper rigs it and shows you as you go.
Private charter
This is what most groups end up taking. You get the boat and a skipper for the afternoon and set the route yourself — usually the coves, a long swim stop and back for sunset. It works out cheaper than individual seats from about six people, and it suits hen and stag groups, birthdays and families who would rather not share.
With children
The two-hour cruise is fine from about four or five. Small-size lifejackets are aboard but tell us ages when booking so they are ready. Fishing trips are better from eight upwards — four hours is a long time for a small child.
When it runs
Daily from April to October, and by arrangement the rest of the year. The easterly wind is what causes cancellations; when that happens you move to another date or get a full refund. Mornings are usually flatter than afternoons.
Meeting point
Torrevieja marina, on the leisure pontoon. Be there fifteen minutes before. If you are staying in Orihuela Costa or Guardamar we can arrange the transfer there and back.
Common questions
Do we need a fishing licence?
Not on a licensed boat with a skipper — the vessel covers it. You would only need your own licence fishing independently from shore or a private boat.
What if the weather turns?
Another date or a full refund. The skipper decides on the morning.
Can we bring drinks?
Yes, on private charters. On shared trips ask when booking — it varies by boat.
